DECEMBER 2025

From academic discovery to commercial reality — Welcome to our first newsletter.

Hello Innovators,

A new year is always a reset, but for deep-tech founders, it’s also about momentum.

2025 was a defining year for PINA Creation. We transformed years of academic research into validated commercial products, launched multiple nano-ink platforms, and built a global pilot network across 12+ countries.

As we step into 2026, our focus is clear:Scale-up manufacturing, expand globally, and turn pilots into long-term customers.

Let’s take a look at what we have achieved — and what’s ahead.

2025 in Review — From Lab to Global Pilots

What we built

Four Commercial Nano-Ink Platforms

  • Zinc Oxide (ZnO)Nano Inks-FlexiZincTM

  • Tin Oxide (Alcohol-based SnO2)Nano Inks-FlexiTinTM

  • Tin Oxide (Water-based SnO2)Nano Inks-FlexiTinTM

  • Nickel Oxide (NiO) Nano Inks- FlexiNickelTM

Scalable manufacturing achieved

  • ZnO: up to 2 L/batch

  • SnO₂: 2 L/batch water & alcohol based

Validated device performance

  • Perovskite solar cells with efficiency up to 18%

  • Organic solar cells outperforming current ETLs with efficiency up to 13% @80% sunlight

  • Transparent films >85%

  • low-temperature processing (<150 °C)

Our global traction

  • 30+ pilot projects across Canada, US, Japan, Taiwan, Germany, Sweden & more

  • Active projects with: Brilliant Matters, TPSC, Epishine, ITRI-MCL, Fraunhofer, Avancis, Osaka University, Stanford University, UBC & SFU University, etc.

  • Distributor in Japan

  • +3000 mL Order Purchases

Funding & Recognition

  • Secured >$1M non-dilutive funding

  • Secured >$1M F&F funding

  • Backed by CDL, SFU-Venture Lab, SheBoot, I2i-SFU, IRAP, NSERC, SFU, and Mitacs.

  • Filed 2 core patents — with 2 more patents in progress

Why Do PINA Technologies Matter?

The future of electronics cannot be built with yesterday’s manufacturing

Today’s electronics still rely on high-temperature, vacuum-based, carbon-heavy manufacturing.

PINA nano-inks enable:

  • Up to 80% lower energy use vs sputtered layers

  • Drop-in compatibility with roll-to-roll and printed manufacturing

  • Low-temperature processing for flexible, next-gen electronics

  • Water & alcohol-based formulations for safer, greener production

What’s Coming in 2026

This year is about commercial acceleration

🧪 Product Roadmap & Manufacturing

  • Launch ITO & AZO nano-inks for transparent conductive films.

  • Improve conductivity & shelf-life of our nano inks

  • Scale-up PINA nano inks manufacturing capacity to 10 L/day.

🌐 Global Growth

  • New distributors in Asia, Europe & USA

  • Convert pilot customers into recurring revenue partnerships

  • Enter display, smart-window & OLED markets

  • Launch licensing of PINA IPs
